He was a city boy and she was a country girl from Owen Sound.  They met and on September 30th, 2017 they were married!

The morning of the big day Mike went to his friend’s cottage at Sauble Beach and Leah stayed at her family farm. At the cottage, everyone was ready to go and excited for the day. They had their Toronto Blue Jays socks and Keltic ties on.

Back at the Taylor Farm, as we arrived, we saw Leah’s sister on a hay bail setting up the lights for this beautiful farm wedding. The day before the wedding there were high winds which made it very difficult to set up BUT Leah and Mike had so many people there that love and support them that setting up the reception was easy the day of the wedding. It is truly amazing to see a group of people come together to help this amazing couple.

Leah is an interior designer so of course everything was beautifully decorated. The nature decor added to the natural feel of the reception.  We loved the pop of colour from the blue napkins and the cedar tree leaves.

Leah’s family farm is a beautiful location for a farm wedding. We loved the willow tree and learned from Leah and her Father the significance of it. It was the tree that Leah and her siblings played in and the tree that Leah’s Sister was married under. We also learned that Mike had proposed to Leah on the farm as well. Leah’s dad brought us to the spot and told us the beautiful story. The farm was full of meaning, memories and it was so fun to learn about this couple even more.

The moment Leah put on her wedding dress was a truly special moment. Not only because it’s the dress that she will marry her best friend in BUT also because this dress was the dress her mother wore on her wedding day. Leah had it altered for her and it was a surprise for Mike.

September 30th was a beautiful day where two beautiful people were married. Thank you, Leah and Mike, for having us be a part of your day. We loved every second of it and spending this time with you was great. You two are an amazing couple and deserve all the happiness life can offer. Congrats you two! We love you!
